To provide and improve our services, the app collects the following anonymous data:

• Anonymous Device Identifier: A randomised identifier unique to your device, used solely for aggregated usage analytics. This identifier cannot be used to determine your identity.
• Region Preference: The country or region you select during initial setup, used to provide region-appropriate functionality within the app.
• Activity Timestamps: Anonymous timestamps indicating when the app was last opened and last used, collected for the purpose of understanding general usage patterns and improving the service.

This data is stored securely on cloud infrastructure and is not linked to any personally identifiable information.

3. Location Data

StackAdvisor requests location permissions to display your current position on the map and to calculate distances between saved locations. Your location data is:

• Used solely to show your position on the in-app map and provide distance calculations
• Processed locally on your device
• Not transmitted to any external server or cloud service
• Not stored, recorded, or logged beyond the current session
• Not shared with any third party

You may revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings. The app will continue to function with limited features if location access is not granted.

4. Screen Scan Permission

StackAdvisor includes a user-initiated screen scan feature that allows you to quickly extract address information from content displayed on your screen. This feature utilises Android's screen projection capability and requires your explicit consent before activation.

Important safeguards:

• This feature is entirely user-initiated and only activates when you deliberately trigger it through the app's on-screen control
• The app never scans, records, or monitors your screen automatically or in the background
• A persistent notification is displayed whenever this capability is active, in accordance with Android platform requirements
• Only text content relevant to addresses is processed
• Extracted text may be sent to secure cloud services solely for the purpose of identifying address information
• No screenshots, images, or visual content is stored permanently on your device or on any server
• All scanned content is discarded immediately after address information has been extracted
• You may disable this feature at any time by dismissing the on-screen control or revoking the screen projection permission

5. Address Data

When you save a location in StackAdvisor, the following occurs:

• The address is converted to geographic coordinates using third-party mapping services
• Address lookups may be cached on secure cloud servers to improve performance and reduce repeated processing
• Cached addresses are stored as raw geographic data only, with no association to any user, device, or session
• Saved locations (pins) are temporary and are automatically removed based on your configured timer settings

6. Third-Party Services

StackAdvisor uses third-party services to display maps and process address information. These services receive only the minimum data necessary to perform their function. No personally identifiable information is transmitted to any third-party service provider.

7. Information We Do Not Collect

For clarity, StackAdvisor does not collect, access, store, or have visibility into any of the following:

• Your name, email address, or contact details
• Your photographs, personal files, or contacts
• Your browsing history or activity in other applications
• Your location history or movement patterns
• Financial information, payment details, or transaction data
• Content from other applications installed on your device
• Audio, video, or multimedia content

8. Advertising and Tracking

StackAdvisor does not display advertisements. We do not integrate with advertising networks, and we do not share any data with advertisers or marketing platforms. No behavioural tracking or profiling is performed.

9. Data Security

We take appropriate measures to protect the limited data we process. All data transmitted between the app and cloud services is encrypted using industry-standard protocols. Anonymous analytics data is stored on secure, professionally managed cloud infrastructure. Since no personally identifiable information is collected, the risk of personal data compromise is minimal.

10. Data Retention and Deletion

Anonymous usage analytics are retained for operational and service improvement purposes. Cached address data is retained to improve application performance for all users. Since no personally identifiable information is collected, there is no personal data to delete upon request. You may clear all locally stored app data at any time through your device settings or by uninstalling the application.

11. Children's Privacy

StackAdvisor is not directed at individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has provided data through the app, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to address the matter.

12. International Data Processing

Anonymous data collected by StackAdvisor may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence. By using the app, you consent to the transfer and processing of anonymous data as described in this policy.
